Chittenden Public Library

Decisions Regarding Donated Books

Decisions regarding books donated to the library for book sales will be the responsibility of the Librarian.

All books donated for express purpose of becoming part of the collection, whether in memoriam, or not, must meet the goals and objectives of the library. If they are not needed because of duplication, condition, or dated information, the Librarian can dispose of them as he/she sees fit. The library does accept memorial gifts of books. Patrons wishing to make such a gift should consult the Librarian before making a choice of book(s). Memorial books will be recognized with suitable bookplates. Memorial contributions of money are gladly accepted, and the allocation must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
